US-Pakistani trade and economic relations have revived.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (Web Desk) – Pakistan and the US have decided to rekindle bilateral trade, investment, and economic ties.
This was worked out at a meeting in Islamabad that was part of the Pakistan-United States Trade and Investment Framework Agreement.
Faruqui and Christopher Wilson, the Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for South and Central Asia, led the meeting in Islamabad together.
The two sides exchanged views on a range of subjects, including bilateral trade and investment, cooperation in agriculture, textiles, and healthcare, promotion of digital trade and e-commerce, intellectual property protection, labor rights promotion, and the economic empowerment of women.
They agreed that both sides would try to make it easier for businesses and government agencies to communicate and work together.
