UK APPROACHED FOR EXTRADITION OF NAWAZ
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Declaring previous PM Nawaz Sharif an “absconder”, Adviser to the Prime Minster on Accountability and Interior Shahzad Akbar has said that Mr Sharif’s four-week abandon clinical grounds lapsed in December a year ago and the administration had just moved toward the UK government for his removal.
“The administration is treating him (Sharif) as an absconder and has just sent a solicitation to the British government to remove him,” Mr Akbar said while tending to a public interview in Lahore on Saturday.
“His walk around London streets is an insult of the legal executive and the administration can’t permit this. There is nothing close to home in it: we are just attempting to execute the law and satisfy its necessities,” the consultant kept up.
Mr Akbar said that the administration would demand the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to seek after Mr Sharif’s removal too and it was additionally investigating legalities of assurances of Shahbaz Sharif, who should accompany his senior sibling back to Pakistan after his clinical treatment.
