The SHC sends pre-admission notifications in connection with the MQM-P case contesting delimitations.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued pre-admission notices on Monday in response to a case filed on February 16 by the Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan contesting the delimitation of seats under the Sindh Local Government Act 2021.

MQM-P Some of the people who signed a petition against the Sindh government have said they don’t like the government’s plan to redo the boundaries on December 31, 2021.

Petitioners say that the notice in question was not sent in accordance with the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s order on page 531 of PLD 2014.

After hearing from the petitioner’s attorney, a two-member bench led by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh issued notices to the respondents and instructed them to submit their responses within four weeks.

They asked the court to make the notice illegal and unconstitutional because it was made without legal authority.
