The PCB has announced the ODI series between Pakistan and the West Indies.
Pakistan vs. West Indies: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the schedule for the West Indies vs. Pakistan ODI series.
LAHORE: Rawalpindi is preparing to host three one-day internationals (ODIs) against the West Indies in June, after the cancellation of the matches last year because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The one-day matches will be held in conjunction with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Monday.
It says that the West Indies will arrive in Islamabad on June 5. They will play one-day internationals on June 8, 10, and 12 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The ODIs were played as part of the West Indies’ December 2021 trip to Pakistan. After five cases of COVID-19 were found in the West Indies camp, they had to be postponed.
“The West Indies have also committed to playing three Twenty20 Internationals in early 2023, with the itinerary to be revealed in due time,” it said.
One-Day Internationals are included in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. The top seven teams from this tournament, along with the hosts of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, will qualify directly for the elite 50-over competition, which will take place in October and November of the following year.
Series schedule:
June 8: 1st ODI, Rawalpindi.
June 10: 2nd ODI, Rawalpindi.
June 12: 3rd ODI, Rawalpindi.
