The Pakistani rupee’s fall against the US dollar continues.

KARACHI: On Thursday, the interbank market witnessed a 1.29-rupee depreciation in the value of the Pakistani rupee versus the United States dollar.

The value of the local currency was around Rs207.75. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), on Wednesday the currency closed at Rs206.46.

Experts say that the drop in the value of the local currency was caused by economic uncertainty, a delay in IMF tranche payments, and a growing current account deficit.
