Washington: IMF Director Jerry Rice has said that the loan agreement with Pakistan will provide protection to the weaker sections in Pakistan.
Yesterday, IMF Director Jerry Rice said in a press briefing that an agreement has been reached with Pakistan at the staff level, under this agreement, Pakistan will receive 1.17 billion dollars, which will increase the current amount to 4.2 billion dollars. We hope that this agreement will help stabilize the Pakistani economy.
Jerry Rice said that the IMF Executive Board will meet in 3 to 6 weeks.
