The Interior Minister is ignorant of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ‘written threat.’
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed claimed on Monday that he was ignorant of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “written letter” alleging that “money has been flowing in from overseas” and that certain PTI members are being exploited to overthrow the government.
The interior minister restated his support for Prime Minister Imran Khan during a news conference, stating that the premier would reject the opposition’s attempts to depose him.
Rasheed said that this was the first rally he had been a part of since 1977.
Regarding the JUI-public F’s gathering slated for today, he said that the party is not permitted to stage the rally and sit-in due to the expiration of their no-objection certificate (NOC). However, he said that the PML-N had permission to hold their meeting.
The interior minister said that the government is in line with Pakistan and that the military only cares about what Pakistan wants.
“Imran Khan is establishing the groundwork for an independent foreign policy and expressed his support for Prime Minister Imran Khan regardless of whether he is in power.
Concerning the National Assembly’s no-confidence vote, he said that if the motion is tabled tonight, voting would take place on Monday (April 4).
Based on his political expertise, Rasheed said that everything would become evident between March 29 and March 31. “My political conscience tells me that the situation might change even an hour before the vote,” he continued.
He said that he asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to hold elections after Hajj, get rid of the Punjab Assembly, and put the governor in charge of Sindh because MNAs were bought by the government.
