The federal cabinet approves the declassification of a threat letter: Suri Qasim
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Suri said Monday that the federal cabinet has agreed to declassify the threat letter.
The NA deputy speaker, waving the document, said that the letter was in his grasp. They cheered as he said this. The National Security Committee (NSC) said that a vote of no-confidence against then-PM Imran Khan was a foreign plot.
He said that Pakistan was threatened in the letter, which was issued prior to the no-trust motion’s filing. He argued that a threat was made that terrible repercussions would have to be addressed if the no-trust petition failed.
Imran Khan has spoken about pursuing an independent foreign policy, he said. He inquired as to whether Quaid e Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah established Pakistan for the purpose of enslavement. “The Prime Minister” was punished for refusing to allow slavery, he said.
Qasim Suri said that he was delivering the letter to Pakistan’s top justice on behalf of the National Assembly. “For the love of God, we will all have to consider it as Pakistanis. If someone is harmed as a result of my statements, I request forgiveness,” he stated in announcing his boycott of the prime minister’s election.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan’s foreign minister, also abstained from the session.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) denied a plea demanding an investigation into the claimed threat letter and added former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s name on the Exit Control List on Monday (ECL).
According to what people say, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah said in his ruling that the petitioner tried to make the cable a debate.
In addition, the court fined the petitioner Rs 100,000, which must be paid in 15 days.
