Thai economy growing, but household debt is a problem – Finance Minister

BANGKOK (Reuters) The economy of Thailand is growing, but the country faces problems with debt of the people and the government plans to reduce the burden in the near future the Financial Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith told reporters on Monday.

Support will include new funding and restructuring of debt, Arkom stated. The household credit in Thailand was at around 89% of the gross domestic product at the close of March, making it one of the most expensive rates in Asia.
