Twitter’s New CEO, Linda Yaccarino, Embarks on First Day in Leadership Role

“It happened — first day in the books!” she tweeted, withholding further elaboration on the matter.

Yaccarino, previously the advertising head at NBCUniversal, assumes control of Twitter during a critical period, as the platform grapples with a decline in advertising revenue and strives for a turnaround.

Musk, who assumed the role of CEO following his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter last October, previously stated that Yaccarino would play a pivotal role in the development of an all-encompassing application.

Joining Twitter alongside Yaccarino is former NBCUniversal executive Joe Benarroch, who began his tenure on Monday. Benarroch previously supervised communication strategy for the Advertising and Partnerships division of the Comcast-owned company, reporting directly to Yaccarino, before transitioning to Twitter.
