The EU aims to save the Iran nuclear agreement with a last-ditch push – Financial Times

(Reuters) In a story from the Financial Times on Saturday, it’s said that the European Union is attempting to save the Iran nuclear deal and break a deadlock.

EU foreign policy head Josep Borrell told the Financial Times that he was seeking a “middle path” to resolve the standoff, which threatens to derail more than a year’s worth of European diplomatic attempts to reach an agreement.

According to the Financial Times, the agreement would result in the United States entering the 2015 pact and the removal of sanctions on Iran. In exchange, the Islamic Republic would severely curtail its nuclear activities.
