The trailer for Sharmaji Namkeen, the highly awaited film featuring Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in the same role, is now out.
This lighthearted family entertainment is the iconic actor’s last performance before his death on the set of the film.
Following Kapoor’s passing, Rawal—regarded as one of the most versatile actors—performed the remaining parts Kapoor was unable to complete.
The teaser begins by revealing that for the first time in a Hindi film, “two great actors” will portray ‘one iconic character‘ in the forthcoming coming of age comedy.
The video chronicles the life of a retired guy who is looking for a pastime until he finds his passion for cooking. Sharmaji’s life, on the other hand, takes an unexpected turn when he joins a women’s cat group, which his son doesn’t like.
Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar also star in the film.
The Hitesh Bhatia-directed film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 31st.
