The IMF wants the PTI government to follow its plan.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has asked the new coalition government to follow the plan made by the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Details show that the international lender has asked Finance Minister Miftah Ismail to keep the promises made by Shaukat Tarin, who was in charge before Ismail.

The IMF said that Imran Khan’s government was willing to raise electricity prices by Rs 3.94 and put a Rs 30 tax on petroleum. After these promises, another $1 billion was given to Pakistan, the report said.

The lender also said that it wants the roadmap that was approved by Parliament during the last government to be put into place.
