Prince Andrew suffers a “new humiliation” as his membership in the royal golf club is cancelled.
According to royal specialist Richard Eden’s latest blog, Prince Andrew’s membership in the royal golf club has been cancelled.
This is one snub that will truly upset Prince Andrew, the Daily Mail editor writes in his column. He has lost his honorary membership in the Royal Dornoch Golf Club after he was found guilty.
Prince Andrew was one of the club’s four honorary members.
Eden adds that the club refused to speak more, but confirmed in an email to members that Andrew is “no longer” an honorary member.
“New humiliation for # PrinceAndrew as his membership in the # royal # golf club is cancelled,” he captioned the post.
In the past month, the AFP said Prince Andrew had stepped down as an honorary member of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. This is what that means:
Queen Elizabeth II’s second son has been largely cut out of royal life after Buckingham Palace said that he had given up his honorary military titles and philanthropic roles.
