Petrol and fuel prices have been lowered to reflect Pakistan’s current financial situation: Prime Minister imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that Pakistanis have been able to save money on energy and fuel because the country now has more money.
The premier said at a ceremony to inaugurate the release of interest-free loans to low-income groups under the Kamyab Pakistan Programme that loans totaling Rs 2 million would be distributed to individuals to assist them in constructing their homes.
During the next two years, the Kamyab Pakistan Programme, a component of the prime minister’s strategy for poverty reduction, will issue loans of Rs 407 billion to youth, women, farmers, and for the building of low-income housing.
The government would grant a subsidy of Rs 56 billion for this purpose throughout this term.
The Kamyab Pakistan Programme’s primary purpose is to alleviate poverty and stimulate economic prosperity.
