Pakistan’s First Lady believes women are empowered to guarantee Pakistan’s growth and progress.

ISLAMABAD: Begum Samina, President Dr. Arif Alvi’s wife, said on Tuesday that empowered and powerful women may successfully contribute to Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.

She underlined the need to promote women’s involvement in the national mainstream during an event commemorating International Women’s Day at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Begum Alvi was pleased with the progress that Pakistan had made toward women’s rights at all levels, including women’s representation in the legislature.

She said that Pakistani women were making progress in a lot of different fields because they were good and worked hard.

She said that Islam and the Pakistani Constitution both support women’s rights and encourage them to be involved in society’s work in a positive way.

It’s important for women to know their rights, but she said that educated women, politicians, and business owners could all help women do this.

Begum Alvi said that Pakistan’s president and prime minister care a lot about women’s rights, especially when it comes to protecting their inheritance rights.

She also underlined the need to defend handicapped people’s rights by easing their access to critical infrastructure in public spaces.

She said that through promoting the welfare of women and handicapped people, Pakistan may achieve a favourable reputation in the international community.
