Pakistan defeated NZ to get to the T20 World Cup Final.
Pakistan’s cricket team defeated New Zealand in the T20 World Cup semi-final game in Sydney to go to the championship game on Wednesday.
In the T20 World Cup in Australia, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by seven wickets to advance to the championship game for the third time in the shorter format.
Earlier, in the first semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Sydney, New Zealand set a target of 153 runs for Pakistan.
The captain of the New Zealand squad won the toss and chose to bat against Pakistan during the semi-final game played in Sydney. The Black Caps managed only 152 runs in 20 overs, losing four wickets.
In the first over of New Zealand’s innings, Shaheen dismissed opener Finn Allen for 4 runs, and Devon Conway was bowled out by Shadab on the final delivery of the sixth over.
Mohammad Nawaz successfully caught and outran Glenn Phillips, who only managed to score six runs. Kane Williamson, the captain, played brilliantly and scored 46 runs off of 42 balls. In the 17th over, Shaheen Shah Afridi ordered him to return to the pavilion.
Despite having seven wickets in hand at the start of the sequence, Pakistan had only scored 54 runs in the final six overs of the innings. While Pakistan has a reputation for keeping teams in check until the very end, New Zealand is often a side that finishes quickly. It appears that Pakistan’s death bowling in this match has prevailed over New Zealand’s striking.
