On April 22, the NA will vote on who will be their next leader.

ISLAMABAD, learned on Wednesday that the election for the speaker’s seat will be held on April 22 at 3:00 pm during the NA session.

Apparently, the meeting that was supposed to take place on Saturday afternoon will now be held on April 22. (Friday).

Changed: The NA Secretariat said that acting speaker Qasim Suri made a rule 49 change.

In the past, it was said that the election for the NA speaker would be held on April 16. (Saturday). It’s been changed so that the nomination papers for the position of NA speaker are supposed to be turned in tomorrow (Friday).

The speaker’s seat has been empty since the resignation of Asad Qaiser on April 9, when he said he was leaving because he didn’t want to vote on a no-confidence resolution against Imran Khan last Saturday.

An order from the highest court means that the deputy speaker slot for Qasim Suri will stay. This is what Rule 9 says: There will be a secret vote for the speaker.

Because the resignations of the PTI members have been sent to the NA Secretariat, the candidate for the allied government is likely to be elected without a fight, however, the chair will announce the name of the winner during the House’s business.

The leadership of the PPP, which has been given the job of speaker, will think about nominating Raja Parvaiz Ashraf or Syed Naveed Qamar to be the next speaker.
