Nooh Dastagir and Shah Hussain win gold and bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Birmingham is hosting the CWG 2022. 72 nations are competing in indoor and outdoor sports. The 28-day event ends on August 8. Pakistan’s hockey team lost in the group stages, and the women’s cricket squad returned home early.

Nooh Dastagir Butt won the gold medal by lifting 405 kg (173 kg in snatch and 232 kg in clean and jerk) and Shah Hussain Shah won the bronze medal in judo by beating Thomas-Laszlo Breytenbach of South Africa.

The Pakistan Armed Forces were also proud of the CWG 2022 medalists. In a tweet, ISPR congratulates Nooh Dastagir Butt and Shah Hussain Shah.

On DG ISPR’s Twitter account, it says, “Congratulations to Nooh Dastagir Butt and Shah Hussain Shah for making Pakistan proud at the Commonwealth Games.” Zindabad!

Nooh Dastaghir Butt would get Rs 5 million for winning gold, and Shah Hussain Shah Rs 1 million for bronze.

Shajar Abbas has qualified for the 200 m semis, Inaam Butt will begin heavyweight wrestling today, and Ilyas Hussain has reached the lightweight quarters. Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s javelin hero, has qualified for the finals and hopes to win a medal. Today’s shotput finals will feature Muhammad Jamshed Ali.
