Naseem Shah was hospitalised because he had a viral infection.
LAHORE- A team spokesperson said Wednesday that the Pakistan Cricket Team’s fastest player, Naseem Shah, was taken to the hospital with a viral infection.
He won’t be able to play in the fifth Twenty20 match against England, which is set to take place today in the provincial capital.
The pacer was taken to the hospital last night after his health got worse, the spokesperson said.
He’s feeling better now, and the medical panel will decide whether or not he can play in other games after reviewing his medical reports.
Earlier, it was said that Shah would play today, even though he has been out of action for the last three games.
The action has moved from Karachi to Lahore’s famous Gaddafi Stadium, where the last three games of the seven-game series between Pakistan and England will be played.
