Microsoft strikes an education digitalization deal with the Sindh government.
It looks like Microsoft has signed a deal with the School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) and the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF).
To make sure this happens, Microsoft signed a deal with the Microsoft Educational Change Framework (ETF), which says that Microsoft will help the educational sector become more digital.
This alliance’s mission is to develop Sindh’s education sector by using the potential of information and communication technologies (ICT) at all levels. As part of this arrangement, Microsoft will undertake various seminars, training sessions, webinars, and other cooperative activities in Sindh, engaging important stakeholders.
The first stage in collaborating would be to meet with Sindh education officials to discuss and implement customised digital transformation initiatives. There will be a series of workshops for the Sindh education sector to help with the process of going digital. These workshops will be led by people who work for the government.
Microsoft professionals are also dedicated to training the Sindh government in developing, planning, and executing cloud solutions via cloud certification programmes and the development of MIE Master Trainers who will impart technical knowledge on Microsoft’s behalf.
At the agreement’s signing, Jibran Jamshad, Country Education Lead at Microsoft Corporation, noted that the agreement “will serve as a road map for both sides in bridging the divide between education and employment via information and communication technology.”
He noted that since Pakistan’s education industry required significant changes in terms of digitisation, the province’s administration had already established connections with numerous educational institutions.
“We collaborate closely with a variety of business and public sector organisations to provide customised educational goods and services. This collaboration with the Sindh government is another step toward transforming the education system in the province, “he said.
Ghulam Akbar Laghari, Sindh’s secretary for school education and literacy, said during the event, “We are happy to cooperate with Microsoft in digitalizing Sindh’s education system.” We built the SELD learning centre application and digital classrooms as part of our cooperation to meet the educational requirements of pupils during current emergency circumstances. “
Another key part of this ETA is to assist Sindh’s education sector in using cutting-edge Microsoft technologies, like as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Teams.
By acquiring these abilities, students, faculty, and educators will be able to study, collaborate, create material, and share resources via the use of Microsoft products.
This will allow the education sector to continue operating and functioning well even in the event of a worldwide pandemic.
