Korean Air says a plane went off the runway in the Philippines, but no one was hurt.

On Sunday night, a Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. jet with 173 people on board missed the runway at Cebu International Airport in the Philippines. The airline said that no one was hurt and that everyone got off the plane safely.

Korean Air said in a statement on Monday that the Airbus SE (OTC:EADSY) A330 widebody flying from Seoul to Cebu had tried to land twice in bad weather before it overran the runway on its third try at 23:07 (1507 GMT).

Flight KE361’s passengers have been taken to three local hotels, and a new flight is being set up, the airline said. “We are trying to figure out what happened right now.”

Video from the scene that was checked by Reuters showed that the plane had a lot of damage. The nose landing gear looked like it had broken.

On the airline’s website, President Keehong Woo apologised and said that authorities in the Philippines and South Korea would conduct a full investigation to find out what happened.

“We are still committed to keeping our promise of safe operations, and we will do everything we can to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” Woo said.

FlightRadar24, a website that tracks flights, said that other flights to Cebu had to go to other airports or go back to where they started. The plane that crashed was a new A330-300 that was given to Korean Air in 1998.

On its Facebook (NASDAQ:META) page, the Cebu airport said that the runway was temporarily closed so that the plane could be moved. This meant that all domestic and international flights were cancelled until further notice.

Korean Air hasn’t had a crash that killed people since 1997, according to the Aviation Safety Network, a website that keeps track of aviation accidents.
