Peter Kazimir, an ECB policymaker, said on Friday that the bank’s top priority is to normalise monetary policy because inflation in the euro zone has been too high.
His comments came after the ECB decided to raise interest rates by a record 75 basis points on Thursday, which Kazimir called “inevitable and right.”
