It’s on! Where on! see the Ethereum merge happen in real time?
Ethereum (ETH) is about to get the most important update in its history. It will happen on Sept. 15 at 5:27 a.m. UTC.
People who want to see the Ethereum network’s historic switch to proof-of-stake (PoS) in real time will have a lot of options.
The Ethereum Foundation has set up a live stream of the Ethereum Mainnet Merge Viewing Party to start at 4:00 am UTC on YouTube. This is about an hour and a half before the merge is expected to happen.
When the network reaches a total terminal difficulty of 58750000000000000000000, the merge will happen. After that, the next block will be made using a proof-of-stake system.
The Ethereum Cat Herders, as well as content creators from Bankless and The Daily Gwei, will be on The Ethereum Foundation’s live stream.

The description also says that there will be other “notable guests.” These guests could include Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and “The Daily Gwei” founder Anthony Sassano, who have both done live streams for testnets in the past.
“Participate in a POAP art canvas” is what the YouTube page says about people who join two hours before The Merge.
“You only need one internet,” says Asian Trade Magazine. “Ethereum is eating the world.”
Merge prediction timers can also be found on Bordel.wtf. Google, Wenmerge.com, and Blockchain.com all keep track of the current total terminal difficulty and an estimated merge time. BTC.com has its own countdown as well.

Once the merge is done, Ethereum will have fully switched to proof-of-stake, which is expected to make it use a lot less energy.
