ISLAMABAD AIRPORT VISITED BY US TEAM

Rawalpindi: The United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) team, which is currently based in Islamabad, inspected Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday and visited Islamabad International Airport on a PIA PK-701 flight from Islamabad to Manchester.

The TSA team identified the logistics and operation of an additional security component sent by the PIA for specific operations.
They also examined PIA security and airport security forces, airline access and search criteria that use luggage, luggage and unloaded foodstuffs. On Tuesday, they examined any freight, medical and administrative responsibilities, facilities and procedures. ‘

Following a meeting between the airline and the American military in Karachi, which visited the PIA headquarters in April 2019, the PIA officially requested that the TSA be tested and licensed to begin direct operations on the US aircraft.


The next meeting for preparedness and certification was held in Washington, DC, between a US-based transportation company, a TSA team, and a CEO-led PIA team.
