Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif went to the site of the Peshawar Metro Bus to check on the progress of work on the Metro Service Islamabad. He also ordered an investigation into why the project has been delayed.
He went to the construction site to look at the project, which began in 2017 and was supposed to be done in 2018.
On the same day, the prime minister asked for the feasibility of connecting the Islamabad Metro to three motorways from three different directions to be studied right away.
He also told the city to run a free metro service for its people during the month of Ramadan.
It was not only this, though. The Prime Minister also told the city to start running a metro service from Peshawar Road to the airport on April 16, 2022, as well.
The premier said that he wants to make sure that people in Islamabad and the surrounding areas have good and up-to-date transportation options.
During the event, Shehbaz Sharif said that the former government was making up a court order from a foreign country to hide their incompetence.
