In Interbank, the US dollar keeps getting stronger against the rupee.

On August 16, a US dollar could be bought or sold between banks for Rs213.90.

KARACHI On the fifth business day of the week, the US dollar kept going up in the interbank market.

Details show that the dollar was worth Rs0.87 more than the rupee and was being traded at Rs236.75.

Even though the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) got much-needed money from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the dollar is still on a roll (IMF). The U.S. dollar is now worth Rs16.75 more than the Pakistani rupee.

On August 16, a US dollar could be bought or sold between banks for Rs213.90.
