In Australia, a cricket controversy brews.

The allegations against former Australian Under-19 cricketer Jamie Mitchell have thrown the country’s sport into a fresh crisis.

Jamie Mitchell, a former Australian cricketer, said in an interview that a team doctor sexually assaulted him while the squad was in Sri Lanka in 1985.

Mitchell’s health has deteriorated in Colombo, according to Jamie. After receiving an injection from the team doctor, he was rendered unconscious for at least 10 hours, during which time he was sexually molested. According to the doctor, Mitchell’s room was not to be visited that night.

Jamie Mitchell, according to media accounts, wrote to Australia’s Sexual Harassment Department last year. The incident has been submitted to the police department by the department.

During the course of the inquiry, police have contacted Jamie Mitchell, and the Australian Cricket Board has pledged its complete cooperation.

The visit, according to Jamie Mitchell, “changed my life.” For many years, I have suffered from mental pain as a result of the occurrence. He is now 55 years old, but he is certain that the problem is being looked into.

“Cricket Australia is dedicated to the safety of its players and personnel, and we are aiding the authorities in their investigation into Jamie’s accusations,” said Nick Hawley, the Australian Cricket Board’s chief executive.
