Fresh elections are the best option to maintain Pakistan’s political stability: Fawad Hussain

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, said Wednesday that the best way to keep the country’s politics stable was to hold new elections.

He told reporters that the national economy had been hurt and would be further impacted if political uncertainty continued. Every day, the rupee depreciates against the dollar.

Fawad said that economic gains are very risky and that if there is a lot of political uncertainty for a long time, the country will lose a lot of money.

He said that the Constitution must be considered in its entirety and that violations of Article 63-A cannot be overlooked.

He said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement and other opposition political parties have been calling for new elections and that now that the National Assembly has been dissolved, they should concentrate on elections.
