Huawei launches’ ‘Smart Office ‘for consumer markets.
Huawei makes a commitment to consumer markets by introducing its own product line with the introduction of the “Smart Office.”
(Reuters)-BARCELONA (Reuters) – Huawei (HWT.UL) announced seven new “Smart Office” products on Sunday, including a high-end laptop and its first printer and e-ink tablet. This shows that the company still cares about its customers, even though the US trade restrictions on its mobile business were devastating.
In a video presentation ahead of Mobile World Congress, Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu said the goods were a “strong statement” of the company’s Smart Office idea.
They would appeal to those who are increasingly working from home, according to William Tian, President of Huawei’s Western European Consumer Business Group.
In an interview, he said, “These are not self-contained units,” “Our Super Device idea enables us to connect and communicate much more easily.”
Huawei’s Super Device technology enables its devices to communicate and share capabilities and resources.
Tian stated that Huawei remained committed to the smartphone market despite the United States trade embargo, which was implemented in 2019 and took full effect a year later. A ban on Huawei using Google services on the Android operating system and on Huawei’s chip technology was put in place.
Tian: “We will keep investing in new technology in order to keep our lead in the smartphone market.”
He also said that Huawei has no difficulties obtaining semiconductors for its devices.
He said, “We are able to fulfil market demand; we do not have a supply shortage.”
