Plans to put lawyers in the tax net have been announced in Lahore.

LAHORE: Lawyers have been put into the tax net by the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) as part of a drive to collect additional taxes.

In just six months, the Punjab Income Authority has earned Rs 72 billion in revenue. The sales tax rate for these services will stay at 5%.

According to the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), the number of taxpayers has surpassed one lakh, and the yearly target of Rs 155 billion will be met.

According to Zainul Abidin Sahi, the first priority is to resolve issues outside of court, and Rs 16 billion will be paid from the FBR by February.

According to PRA Chairman, sales tax collection is growing at a rate of 22% per year, attorneys are being drawn into the tax net, and taxing the education, health, and justice sectors will be a burden on the people.

He stated that people’s assistance was required to integrate tax collection into the system, and that offices would be established in Murree and Gujarat this year.

According to the chairman of the PRA, which grew by 54% last year, Google, Netflix, and other service providers are working on ways to bring them into Multan’s tax net.
