ISLAMABAD: The debt of the federal government has increased from Rs 40,279 billion while it has increased by Rs 15,547 billion in 38 months of the present government.
According to the SBP document, the domestic debt of the government has reached Rs 26,467.70 billion. In the current period, domestic debt has increased from Rs 9,677 billion and foreign debt from Rs 13,811 billion.
In the current period, external debt has increased by Rs. 5,869 billion. In August 2018, the debt of the federal government was Rs 24,732 billion, of which internal debt was Rs 16,790 billion and external debt was Rs 7,942 billion.
