In the near future, Athena Bitcoin, the operator of a government-owned network of cryptocurrency ATMs in El Salvador, intends to incorporate the Lightning Network into 100 of these ATMs. As per a November 7 press release, Athena Bitcoin Global and Genesis Coin have already integrated Lightning Network technology into their infrastructure and will now proceed to roll it out, starting in El Salvador and expanding across Latin America.
