CDA TO GET WATER SUPPLIES FROM RAWAL DAM

ISLAMABAD: The issue between Small Dam Organization (SDO) and Capital Development Authority (CDA) over arrival of 2,000,000 gallon day by day (mgd) water to Islamabad from Rawal Dam will be settled as the urban office has paid the exceptional Rs32 million to the SDO.

Prior to reestablishing the inventory of two mgd from the dam, the SDO had been requesting that the CDA first clear the Rs32 million duty.

“The longstanding issue with respect to reclamation of water from Rawal Dam has been settled as the CDA a couple of days prior took care of the obligations to SDO. Presently, there is no obstacle in the arrival of water,” said Special Assistant to Prime Minister on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan.

Mr Awan, who is likewise convener of a subcommittee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Water Resources, disclosed to Dawn that subsequent to getting the two mgd from Rawal Dam the CDA could beat water shortage issue in ‘I’ arrangement areas, principally I-10.
