By-elections: PML-N, PPP. If the PTI quits, these two groups will run.
- The PTI would have to hold by-elections to fill empty seats, says Ahsan Iqbal.
- Iqbal thinks that most PTI members would not want to resign.
- If the PTI changes things in KP, new elections will be held, he says.
ISLAMABAD: Following former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s dismissal from office, the PML-N and PPP said on Sunday that they would organise by-elections in the event of mass resignations of PTI National Assembly members,
PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said on Geo News’ Naya Pakistan that “by-elections will be called for empty seats if the PTI MPs quit en masse.”
Concerning the elections, he said that the policy was consistent with what the PTI administration had stated when en bloc resignations from the PDM platform were discussed. The PML-N leader, on the other hand, anticipated that the bulk of PTI members would oppose this.
“Imran has a large number of unelected advisors who provide him with such ideas. This kind of poor counsel contributed to his downfall. Indeed, the PTI lacks the numerical power necessary to shock the system as a whole. Fresh elections will be conducted if the PTI destabilizes the KP system. “Fresh elections will be conducted,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, the PPP said that it does not believe in spiteful politics and that in the event of the PTI’s resignation, by-elections will be conducted to fill empty seats. News conference: Shazia Marri and Faisal Karim Kundi, PPP Information Secretaries, talked about the no-confidence vote victory. They thanked the country for the victory.
“We democratically removed an inept and insensitive government. The PPP’s Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, organised a public march against the chosen government, and despite the PTI’s several attempts to cling to power, the no-confidence resolution was successful. “The PTI made an attempt to break the Constitution and the law,” she said.
“Now Imran Niazi is agitating people and attempting to peddle a fake story,” Marri said. You must answer for your actions before stirring the populace since the nation cannot afford additional divisiveness. Imran Khan is more effusive in his appreciation of India than the Indian prime minister. He should retract his comments and abstain from praising India, “she remarked, adding that he could do anything. “Everyone is aware that Indian Prime Minister Modi’s hands are tainted with Kashmiri blood,” she continued.
Kundi said that the previous NA speaker will be regarded as a Constitution offender and must face charges under Article 6. “His crew was present in the legislature, but his leader fled. “Imran Khan pleaded for an NRO till late Saturday night,” he alleged.
