An emotional Amitabh Bachchan pays a heartfelt homage to Bappi Lahiri:

Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog on Tuesday night to write about how sad he was about the sudden death of legendary music composer Bappi Lahiri.

The Piku actor wrote a heartfelt blog post about the legendary musician, with whom he worked on many projects. He said that his music would live on forever.

The 79-year-old icon started by saying, “Bappi Lahiri, legendary music director, has passed away… shocked and astonished, and in the anguish of these awful occurrences ‘passing’ in fast succession of times.” His film melodies with me are and will, I hope, be immortal; they are played, hummed, and sung together with zeal and joy in these modern times.

He also recalled his conversation with the musician at London’s Heathrow airport, writing, “the ability of his sense of success with a particular moment, untethered.” Upon checking in to board a flight from London to Heathrow, he received a gentle tap on the shoulder, “‘Your film is going to be extremely successful, and the song I just gave, shall be remembered for ages.”

Additionally, the Pink singer said, “He was correct.. and learning the graphs of some at his humble house, between rehearsals, was an even more rewarding experience.” Slowly, they all leave us. Good night, sweethearts…. it is approaching the hour of 2 a.m., and the (sleep symbols) are collaborating to function admirably. ”

Bappi created music for many of Big B’s smash hit films, including Namak Halaal (1982) and Sharaabi (1984).

Bappi died of OSA in Mumbai on Tuesday night at the age of 69. (obstructive sleep apnea).
