Bill Gates meets Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, on his first visit to the country.
ISLAMABAD: According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Microsoft co-founder William Henry Gates, commonly known as “Bill Gates,” met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday during his first visit to Pakistan.
Gates’ coming to Pakistan for a one-day visit was announced earlier by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, Dr Faisal Sultan.
Sultan welcomed Gates to Pakistan through Twitter and said that the philanthropist would meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi, and provincial health department officials during his visit.

It’s an honour to welcome Mr. Bill Gates to Pakistan for the first time, “Faisal Sultan” wrote.
He said that the computer mogul, who is also co-chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a key donor to global polio eradication, would attend a review of Pakistan’s polio eradication efforts.
According to the SAPM, Gates would also pay a visit to the National Command and Operation Center and the Ehsaas Program Headquarters during his one-day tour.

Reports say that Gates will also visit the COVID-19 treatment centre in Chak Shahzad before leaving Pakistan that evening.
