Bill Gates expresses gratitude to Prime Minister Imran Khan and commends Pakistan’s dedication to polio eradication.
Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft and a philanthropist, has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for having productive talks about Pakistan’s efforts to get rid of polio.
Gates arrived in Pakistan yesterday on his first visit, where he met with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Arif Alvi, and other officials.
On Friday, Gates expressed gratitude to the prime minister and complimented Pakistan’s commitment to polio eradication.
Gates said in his statement that he was grateful to Imran Khan for the fruitful conversations about the actions Pakistan is taking to eradicate polio.

Gates, who serves as co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, also described Ehsaas as a “state-of-the-art programme.”
Gates was speaking in Islamabad at a meeting with Dr. Sania Nishtar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection.
Dr. Sania lectured him about Ehsaas and the program’s emphasis on data, digitalization, and openness as important drivers.
