Bilawal and Shehbaz say the NA speaker broke the constitution.
ISLAMABAD: PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have both stated that National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar has violated the constitution by delaying the session for so long. They were speaking outside Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Monday (SC).
In Pakistan, the opposition leaders went to see the Supreme Court Bar Association’s (SCBA) appeal for help before they voted on a no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. The SCBA wants the apex court to intervene to stop the “anarchy.”
Shehbaz said that NA speaker Asad Qaisar broke the constitution because he started a meeting late. “What was the NA speaker having a problem with that he didn’t start the lower house session before?”
Because of a meeting of the OIC, the long march has been put on hold by the opposition, he said.
People from the PPP said that the government has been running away from the no-confidence vote. He told the NA speaker to be careful, or these people will get him.
He said the government was trying to spread terror with attacks on parliament lodges, and he called it a bad thing that the government did that.
When the Supreme Court took notice of an attack on Sindh House in Islamabad, he thanked them. It will be the constitution, not any political party, that judges will follow, he said.
