ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad stated on Tuesday that the current government will soon implement an electronic passport system to simplify travel.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, said that when he came back from Russia, he would start an e-passport service that would help people.

Rashid also said that thirteen new passport offices would be built in Sindh, as well as twenty-eight NADRA Identity Card Stations in each of the four provinces.

The Interior Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating foreign-funded terrorists. He said that the Radd-ul-Fasaad operation kept the country safe and that we appreciate the sacrifices of security personnel.

The Interior Minister said that special security procedures have been put in place for the upcoming arrival of the Australian cricket team.

Sheikh Rashid indicated, while remarking on the country’s political condition, that the opposition parties’ protest efforts would be fruitless. He anticipated that the motion of no confidence would also be rejected.
