In the interbank market, the rupee gained, making the dollar 73 paise cheaper.

The dollar fell substantially against the rupee in the interbank market on the third trading day of the week.

The dollar was priced at Rs 176.63 in the interbank market on the previous trading day. In the interbank market, however, the rupee is rising versus the dollar today.

According to figures issued by the State Bank of Pakistan yesterday, the dollar declined by 5 paise in the interbank market.

Inflation is being caused by the growing value of the dollar in the country. Petroleum product prices are expected to rise by more than Rs 35 in 2021.
