We are disappointed but we will follow the supreme courts ruling fm qureshi

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Saturday that even though he doesn’t like the Supreme Court’s decision, he will still follow it.

In his presentation to the critical National Assembly session, the Foreign Minister said that although the opposition had the right to submit a no-confidence vote against the prime minister, he was obligated to defend it. “Our intention is to oppose it constitutionally, politically, and democratically,” he said. He said that we were obligated to uphold the Constitution.

“Pakistan’s past is littered with constitutional transgressions,” he said, adding that the notion of necessity should have been abandoned. “I am happy that Pakistan’s democracy has grown and that we are all against it,” he said.

“Saturday and the session began at 10:30 a.m. There will not be a break in the hearing until both Article 95 and Rule 37 are done, the judge said.

However, it is critical to establish the circumstances in which the court instructed the reconvening of the session. He said that the clock had been reset and that the supreme court had unanimously reversed the April 3 decision.

He said that Prime Minister addressed the people by sacking parliament. The opposition had been calling for early elections for more than four years, the minister said.

He restated the government’s acceptance of the court’s ruling but questioned why the opposition parties rushed to court and why the Supreme Court took suo motu notice. “The deputy speaker made the judgement while presiding over the session, and he did not reject the constitutional procedure.” He said that a new circumstance had arisen and that it should be investigated in light of it. “

Qureshi said that the communication had been seen by the National Security Committee (NSC), one of the country’s highest-ranking bodies, which determined that it was a sensitive topic.

“The NSC reached two conclusions. To begin with, they recognised the need for intervention in Pakistan’s domestic affairs and the need to issue a demarche. He continued by stating that the Foreign Office adhered to these directions.

The second was to convene the Parliamentary Committee on National Security promptly and to bring the problem to the elected representatives so they could get to the bottom of it.
