Asad Umar announces that the NCOC will suspend operations today.
Asad Umar, Minister of Planning, said that today (Thursday) will be the last day of operation for the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
The minister moved to Twitter to spread the good news that COVID-19 indicators had reached an all-time low while immunization rates remained high.
Additionally, Umar said that the baton has been transferred to the Ministry of Health.
“Through Allah’s kindness and the unwavering backing of the whole country, we were able to overcome this unparalleled obstacle. “It fills me with enormous pride as a Pakistani that Pakistan’s COVID reaction has been lauded as one of the most successful in the world by worldwide agencies and people,” he said.
Asad Umar also said he was grateful for the chance to work with the hard-working staff at NCOC as chairman, calling it the greatest honor of his life.
It’s worth noting that the COVID-19 positivity rate decreased to 0.82 percent in the previous 24 hours, with six fatalities and 244 positive cases reported.
