Who was declared the most corrupt person of the year 2021?

Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Group Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) has released the list of the most corrupt personalities of the year 2021.
According to foreign reports, Alexander Lukashenko, President of the European country Belarus, has been selected as the Corrupt Person of the Year.
He was named Corrupt Person of the Year 2021 for promoting organized crime and corruption.

Other most corrupt figures in the report this year include former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
According to the report, a panel of six journalists investigating corruption chose the President of Belarus out of 1167 nominees from around the world.
Lukashenko has been President of Belarus since 1994.
According to the report, this is the first time in a decade that a panel has unanimously declared a person a corrupt person of the year.
