According to the FBR research, dozens of MPs are not just tax payers.

93 members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, as well as the Senate, have been found to have failed to file their income tax forms for the year 2019.

The FBR published the Tax Directory for 2019, which contains information on taxpayers and members of parliament, yesterday.

According to the Tax Directory, 1,169 members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, as well as Senators, have filed their income tax forms.

A parliamentarian’s average income tax bill is Rs. 789,493.

In 2019, 93 members of parliament failed to file tax returns.

To put it another way, 93 members of the House of Representatives have been found to be non-filers.

Yousuf Raza Gilani, the former Prime Minister and current Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, is among those who did not pay taxes. Senators Palwasha Khan, Qaratul Ain Murree, Faisal Saleem-ur-Rehman of the PTI, Senator Saifullah Abro, Hidayatullah Khan of the ANP, Prince Ahmed Omarzai of the BAP, and Independent Senator Naseema Ehsan also paid their taxes. It was not submitted.

Saif-ur-Rehman, Sardar Muhammad Khan, Maulana Abdul Shakoor of the JUI-F, Shakila Khalid Chaudhry of the PML-N, Farrukh Khan of the PML-Q, and Pir Amir Shah Gilani of the PPP are among the PTI members.
