The Economy Ministry of Israel said on Monday that Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will sign a free trade agreement in Dubai on Tuesday. This is meant to increase trade between the two countries.
Customs duties will be removed from 96 percent of products, including food, agriculture, cosmetics, medical equipment, and medicine, according to the ministry. This includes regulations, customs, services, and government procurement.
As part of the U.S.-brokered Abraham Accords, which also included Bahrain and Morocco, the UAE and Israel made their relationship official in 2020. This is the first time Israel has done business with an Arab country.
