All Shopify merchants will be able to use “Crypto.com Pay” from now on.
Crypto.com has told Shopify merchants that they can now add Crypto.com Pay to their online stores. Crypto.com is a well-known platform for digital currencies that is based in Singapore and has more than 50 million customers. The platform recently got a lot of attention because Matt Damon was in an ad for it during the Super Bowl.
In more detail, the Crypto.com team told CoinQuora that, to welcome Shopify merchants to Crypto.com Pay, Crypto.com will waive the 0.5 percent settlement fee on all transactions for one month after integration. All Shopify merchants who sign up for Crypto.com Pay until June 30, 2022, should be able to take advantage of the promotion.
The team also said that Crypto.com Pay lets merchants receive cryptocurrencies instantly and for free from a growing number of Crypto.com users around the world. This off-chain service works in real-time and can be used by anyone with the Crypto.com App, no matter where they live.
To give Crypto.com Pay merchants another reason to do business, Crypto.com will also offer customers crypto-cashback Pay Rewards when they pay with the Cronos token (CRO). This can be up to 10% during promotional periods.
“One of Crypto.com’s main goals is to make it possible for more customers and merchants to do business using cryptocurrencies,” said Kris Marszalek, the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer.
We’re very excited to integrate with Shopify and make this feature available to even more customers and merchants around the world.
Also, John S. Lee, Lead of Blockchain Ecosystem at Shopify, said that they were glad to have Crypto.com on board to help Shopify merchants give customers another fast and easy way to pay for online orders. “The fact that our blockchain ecosystem is growing shows that we are committed to helping merchants offer alternative payment methods on their storefronts, which helps to make commerce even more flexible.”
The team says that there are no transaction fees and only a 0.5 percent settlement fee with Crypto.com Pay. According to reports, merchants don’t have to pay anything to set up the integration, and it only takes them a few minutes to do so. Customers can pay with BTC, ETH, CRO, SHIB, DOGE, and APE, among more than 20 other tokens.
