PM Shehbaz Sharif wants to find out why the Peshawar Morr Bus project has been delayed.

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he was sorry that the Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport Metro Bus Project took so long to finish.

After meeting with officials from the CDA and NHA on Thursday morning, he said the project was “very important.”

The Prime Minister told them to set up a committee to look into why it took so long. In what he said, he said that sixteen billion rupees had already been spent on the project and that the fact that it hasn’t been finished is very sad.

Sharif said that the metro bus service should allow people to carry their luggage. He also told them to build a metro bus station on the motorway.

On the same day, the Prime Minister was told that the metro bus service would start right away on Saturday after the Punjab Metro Bus Authority took fifteen buses from the Punjab Metro Bus Authority. He was told that buses for this project would arrive on the 5th of May, as well.

She added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered free metro service for commuters during the holy month of Ramadan ul Mubarak.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Prime Minister has also asked that the feasibility study for the Bhara Kahu and Rawat routes of the metro bus service be done as soon as possible, as well.

The spokesperson said that the prime minister has told them to make sure that residents of Islamabad and the surrounding areas have good transportation options.
