LAHORE– The secretary of the Punjab Assembly said on Saturday that vote for the province’s new chief minister would not take place today.

The secretary said that just the election timetable would be issued today, and the speaker has the ability to convene a session for voting tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

It’s important to note that Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar agreed to Sardar Umsan Buzdar’s resignation in the face of growing political turmoil.

PTI’sUsmannee for the role of CM is PML-Chaudhry Q’s Pervaiz Elahi, while the unified opposition has nominated Hamza Shahbaz.
