An American guy wins a $75,000 telemarketing lawsuit.
A man in the United States won a $75,000 lawsuit against telemarketers who called him on his cell phone.
In Austin, Texas, In the United States and Europe, there are a lot of robocalls and ads that people answer. Fed up with them, an American man went to all of the institutions, sued the call centers, and now he has won $75,000 from them.
Dan Graham, who lives in Austin, Texas, was also disturbed by the anonymous calls that are usually made for advertising and service. People in the United States get billions of phone calls each month that interrupt their schedule.
Dan Graham went to every company that called them and found out who they were. He had put his phone number in a US database called “Donut Call Registry,” and he had done so. But the companies said that even though this was happening, they still made a lot of phone calls to Dean. In one day, they started getting ten calls, and in one day, they even got 25 calls.
Donut call registry numbers can’t be used to advertise contact numbers. This is against US law. By law, you must get permission from the person who owns the number before you call them. A lot of small business courts were called, and Graham filed 50 lawsuits in them. This is why. At first, he didn’t do well. After that, he won one case after another and kept getting fines. Now, he has won 75,000.
He also tells people who are afraid of getting phone calls from people they don’t know to file a lawsuit against the companies.
